Liquid Microneedling. A Different Story for your Skin
Cellstory is an advanced liquid microneedling treatment that combines sophisticated skin science, powerful active ingredients and patented Microspear® technology to stimulate and support the skin's natural renewal process.
It has been designed as an eight-step treatment, with each stage preparing the skin for the next: the skin is cleansed, conditioned, hydrated and infused with carefully selected actives before the treatment reaches its star moment: Microspear® Meso-Care.
Cellstory treatments use Microspear® Meso-Care, highly purified microscopic spicules derived from freshwater sponge, that create tiny pathways within the skin. Once there, they penetrate the lower layers of the epidermis and remain active for up to 72 hours, helping to stimulate the skin's regenerative response while enhancing the delivery of the carefully selected ingredients used throughout the treatment.
It's clever and clinical but the experience itself is beautifully simple and thats what I love about it.

The difference between traditional Microneedling and Cellstory
Traditional microneedling uses a device with tiny needles to deliberately create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, whereas Cellstory takes a different approach, using Microspear® technology in place of needles altogether.
Cellstory is a great option if you love the idea of the skin-renewing benefits associated with microneedling, but the thought of needles has always made you hesitate.
What makes Cellstory unique is its dual-action regeneration and delivery system. As the Microsphere technology creates micro-channels within the epidermis, it also acts as a vehicle for advanced ingredient delivery, allowing actives, including botanical extracts, growth factors and amino acids, to be delivered more effectively into the skin.
Cellstory incorporates EGF, FGF and IGF signalling proteins, used in the formulation to support processes associated with cellular renewal, collagen production and skin repair.
It's this combination that makes Cellstory so much more interesting to me than simply thinking of it as another resurfacing treatment. It's about the skin's environment, not just the skin's surface.

Does Cellstory use needles?
No traditional needles are used.
This is one of the reasons Cellstory is particularly appealing to clients who would like an advanced skin-renewal treatment but don't like the idea of needles.
You will still feel the treatment particularly during the Microspear® stage, but it is a very different experience from traditional microneedling.

Can Cellstory be used on active acne?
Yes, Cellstory can be used for selected active-acne concerns and acne-prone skin, as well as the appearance of acne scarring.
However, active acne isn't automatically a reason to have Cellstory.
I'll assess the condition of your skin first and decide whether it is appropriate for you.

What are the plant stem cells in Cellstory?
Cellstory uses plant-derived callus culture extracts from Edelweiss and Lotus.
Despite the name, these are not human stem cells.
They are botanical extracts containing bioactive compounds selected to support antioxidant protection, skin comfort, radiance and the appearance of firmer, healthier skin.

Cellstory contains EGF, FGF and IGF.
Growth factors are signalling proteins involved in processes such as cellular renewal, repair and collagen production.

Is there any downtime?
Cellstory is designed to have minimal downtime, although your skin may look flushed or feel warm and prickly immediately afterwards. You can apply makeup to the next day if necessary.

How many Cellstory treatments will I need?
That depends on what we're treating and where you are starting from.
Cellstory can be enjoyed as an individual treatment, while a course may be recommended when we're working towards more significant changes in texture, pigmentation or skin quality. A course is usually 4-6 treatments take approx 4 weeks apart.
